            With the use of the latest CAD technology and innovative engineering in the design stage, we have been able to significantly reduce the weight and the rotational mass of these state of the art products. In the case of the rotational mass , a reduction in weight of up to 60% has lead to substantial saving in running costs for the operator.
All Buddy Compact machines are fitted with the Buddy-Safe - OCV (open circuit voltage) reduction, roll over frame, wheels and simultaneous use of the auxiliary output.

 
The Buddy Compact range is available with 220V AC auxiliary power only and comes with two 220V plug sockets with on/off
 
switch and overload protection as standard . As an option, 110V AC can be supplied. The Buddy Compact range can be supplied with a 12V DC battery charger as an option.
These units come with a full one-year warranty and we guarantee a maximum of a 24 hour turnaround repair service on the welder and auxiliary power output equipment.

The Buddy Inverter is a light-weight portable industrial DC welding machine, designed and manufactured in South Africa. These 100% duty cycle welders are ideal for maintenance and production applications.

The Buddy Inverter utilizes cutting edge inverter technology in combination with the very latest power electronic switching devices. A switching frequency in excess of 10kHz enables the converter to control the welding arc with great precision. The output welding current is controlled by continuous feedback to the unit which controls the required current boost to optimise the welding process.
                              
The welding performance is enhanced by an extremely high output dynamic response, precision control of the output current and optimising the required striking voltage. These features also ensure low spatter and a very smooth weld run, a near perfect weld is obtained with most electrode types.

All models of the Buddy Inverter can be used for stick and tig welding and from the 250 Amp up, they can also be used for mig, flux cored and gouging.

The auxiliary power output available on these units is 220V DC and is an optional extra. It is important to note that not all electrical power tools can be used in conjunction with DC power supply. It is advisable to check with your power tool supplier before operating your particular equipment with this option. The fitting of this option has a small influence on the unit's overall weight.
